O.S. 21XZ-B V-Spec Speed Tuned Buggy Engine

AU $469

This is the O.S. 21XZ-B V-Spec Speed Tuned Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine. In 2006, the IFMAR Off-Road World Championship was captured by Mark Pavidis using the O.S. SPEED 21VZ-B V-Spec. At the 2008 IFMAR Off-Road World Championship, Atsushi Hara claimed the victory with the O.S. SPEED 21VZ-B V-Spec II. The O.S. SPEED has once again evolved with a completely new design that surpasses the previous model in every aspect, resulting in the SPEED 21XZ-B.

Based on the user-friendly features of the MAX 21XZ-B, the SPEED 21XZ-B features a tungsten-balanced and silicone-ramped crankshaft with DLC coating; a lightweight, low-gravity cooling head with cooling holes; a ceramic ball bearing, and more. These features allow the SPEED 21XZ-B to deliver instant throttle response and powerful torque over the entire rpm range. With the SPEED 21XZ-B, the power you need to win is available on command at your fingertips.

O.S. 28XZ Truggy Engine

AU $439

With input from top truggy drivers, O.S. has developed the ideal engine for these hybrid hot rods! The 28XZ produces more low-end torque, providing the rpm/torque balance that heavier truggies require. The result is power that's incredibly smooth, for truggies more drivable than ever thought possible!

The larger head aids in cooling, and is a 2-piece construction with inner head button.
A sealed front bearing and high-performance inner bearing are part of the new crankcase design.
The high-performance con rod features oiled bushings.
Three needles enhance fine-tuning on the 21J slide-valve carb.
Comes with a high-performance P3 hot turbo plug.

The Mark Pavidas Edition Tuned Pipe (OSMG2969) is the perfect accessory for the 28TZ; flywheel sets are required (OSMG2648 for Mugen, OSMG2649 for Kyosho, both sold separately) for certain truggy models.
O.S. Speed .19 XZB

AU $379

OS came in under the radar with the release of their unconventional but innovate .19 engine (the standard buggy engine is .21), one of their team drivers Mark Pavidis has been closely involved with the development of this engine, we met up with Mark and he told us a bit more about it.
"The first prototype was tested at Revelation a few months before the worlds, at the worlds practice we attended I ran two newer versions of the .19 with great success. For the LARGE track the .21 was the best option at that track. I had asked O.S. early last year that I felt there was a need for a smaller engine as the cars now a days are at minimum weight and most of the time the cars are all over powered not delivering the power to the tires efficiently. I have ran the engine at all the Local tracks here Thunder Alley, Revelation and ARC with great success.

I really feel this is a great move for O.S. going to the smaller bore .19 engine. This shows O.S commitment to the off road buggy category once again. Everyone that knows O.S. engines knows that it is the standard that all other engines are judged by. Power, Fuel economy and the ease of tuning. All of these characteristics are key to the success of the O.S. brand. O.S. may not be the cheapest engine in the hobby shop but like I tell anyone that asks me you get what you pay for."

O.S. Engines .25XZ

AU $339

Striving to create the best competition truggy engine, O.S. engineers made a crucial trackside observation that influenced how they designed the 25XZ. While you can push ROAR's legal limit with a .28, power alone doesn't get you the win.

You also need the fuel economy to stay on track while other drivers tick off precious time in the pits. You need a low center of gravity that helps you hold your lead without letting up in the curves. And you need the ability accelerate smoothly at any point in your engine's rpm range.

Like larger engines, the 25XZ delivers all the speed any racer can use — but reduces weight just enough to give you every other advantage, too. It's a racing revelation, available now at your favorite O.S. dealer.

  • Premium power for owning the winner's circle at 1/8 scale off-road events!
  • More muscle than a .21 — more compact than a .28.
  • Lower center of gravity aids in handling.
  • The slide valve 21JN carburetor allows quick and easy tuning to specific race conditions and has four separate adjustments: High Speed, Mid-Speed, Low-Speed and Throttle-Stop.
  • 10-fin blue anodized cooling head reduces heat.
  • Five ports

O.S. 2060 Tuned Pipe

AU$220

This is the O.S. T-2060SC WN polished one piece tuned pipe with manifold. This is the one piece variety and includes an off-road manifold, which attaches to the tuned pipe using three small springs (included). This pipe is designed specifically for O.S. engines such as the O.S V-Spec engines and is a new designed pipe for those engines providing excellent bottom end and top end performance. This pipe also features a welded nipple so you won't have to worry about losing back pressure due to an air leak.

O.S. Glow Plugs

P3 Plugs - AU $9.90ea

Getting the best engine performance means choosing the right glow plug, which depends on a number of different factors - the engine type, air-fuel mix, nitro percentage, and even air temperature.

What's more, the right glow plug will change as conditions change. Keeping a range of glow plugs on hand will help you fine-tune glow heat and enjoy maximum performance under all conditions.

Generally, hot plugs provide better idle and acceleration than cold plugs. Cold plugs will produce more power but may idle more roughly and be harder to tune.
